Toneking trumpet Long, light, and narrow, this vintage horn plays easily and gives a bright tone. The valves have maintained their spring, but their plating is worn and compression is only adequate. Not much denting is apparent; the bell, shows signs of having a sizeable dent removed. All slides and the spit valve work. The braces are firm, with a soldering repair evident between lead tube and valve casing. There is more lacquer than not and the horn has a subdued golden appearance. |

Trumpet Circa 1960 (serial number 4439) It plays with a warm strong tone, no weak spots. Valves move very smoothly, compression OK. Lacquer is very good and appears to have been re-done. On the lead pipe are three patches that were lacquered to blend with the rest of the horn. Second slide has a repair, and several braces have been soldered. It’s reasonably attractive horn in very good playing and working condition. An Olds case, mouthpiece, oil and cleaning kit come with this trumpet. |
